Who We Are.

how it started on paper
How it Started.

I’m Kunal Kashyap, Founder and Editor-in-Chief. After business school and spending 4 years being a Tech YouTuber, I decided it was time for a change.

So I launched my first consumer education website (backdroid) and hired the best people I know to help me run it, my sister, Ruchi and Samuel, and cousin, Tejaswini. Tejaswini left us in 2021, but Ruchi and I, along with our friends continue to work together to create the best fixing tutorials possible.

In 2023, Ruchi Kashyap, started her own Instagram blog: GuidingInsta.com

In 2024, fixing-mostly.com is launched with aim to assist anyone with tech products, including phones, tablets, PCs, laptops, and accessories.

How We Fix

#1 Research the issues

Initially, we begin with the research process which helps us to understand the type of people who are facing the issue, the devices they are using, and the common traits they share. By connecting the dots in between, we can get a better understanding of the problem and its possible solutions.

#2 Put it to the test.

Firstly, we try some general fixes such as clearing the cache or anything that can help. If that doesn’t work, we can contact some service centers nearby. We have experience in fixing things ourselves, and we also check Reddit or YouTube comments to see what has worked for other people. By doing this, we can connect the dots and hopefully find a solution that works for us. What do we look at during testing?

Long-Term Test Team

When we test troubleshooting steps, we apply them to our own devices and observe their effects for 2 to 3 days. This helps us determine any potential long-term effects on the device. It’s worth noting that in most cases, the troubleshooting steps we apply are completely safe to use.

#4 The final results.

After testing everything, we have come up with a set of troubleshooting steps that one should follow in order to resolve any issues that they may encounter on their devices. Whether it’s a desktop PC, Mac, Android, iOS or any other device, we can help fix it.

Still, Have Questions?

If you still have questions about the way Fixing-Mostly operates or want to submit requests for new products to review, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Over the past three years, I have written over 100 articles on fixing issues with Android devices on backdroid.com, which have been viewed by nearly 500,000 visitors.

In September 2023, I will be launching a new blog called Fixed Kunal, where I will continue to provide helpful tips and advice on how to fix common Android problems. I hope you will join me on this new journey!

I’ve always been the kid who fixes everything. If my uncle came to me and said, “Kunal, can you fix this?” I’d say, “Sure, why not?” And I’d pour my heart and soul into fixing it. That’s where the tagline “Fixing tech with heart” comes from.
